TOPIC: "Clearing the Confusion in RFID and Real Applications"

SPEAKER: Mike Nichols, Manager of RFID Systems Consulting, Intermec

Technologies Corp.

Intermec Technologies Corp. is perhaps best known as the inventor of the

world's most widely used bar code symbology. Intermec today provides supply

chain information products, services and systems to companies in hundreds of

industries around the world.

With billions of dollars invested in business assets, for both internal use

and inventory for sale, the opportunity for financial loss has never been

greater. Asset misplacement, inventory shrinkage and inventory loss cost

businesses millions of dollars each year.  RFID technologies enable

businesses to manage and control their assets to such an extent that on-time

delivery of the right product to the right place at the right time and

reduction of asset losses exceeds the cost of the technology and improved

customer relations.

Mike Nichols will clarify the confusion about what's real and what's not in

the emerging world of RFID.  He will identify the real opportunities to use

RFID in a broad range of industries, and he'll discuss specific applications

that he has been involved in developing for Intermec customers. This is a

great opportunity to talk with an expert in RFID about your concerns and

your interests.
